Caerphilly Conservative Association represents the Conservative cause across the UK Parliamentary constituency of Caerphilly, covering a proud and diverse range of communities including Caerphilly town, Bargoed, Ystrad Mynach, Nelson, Senghenydd, Llanbradach, Bedwas, Trethomas, and Machen. The entire constituency lies within the boundary of Caerphilly County Borough Council, giving us a strong and cohesive local focus.
Our Role Across Different Elections
While the county boundaries remain unchanged, the introduction of new Senedd boundaries for the 2026 election means we now also play an active role in the wider Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and Rhymney Senedd constituency. This new electoral area brings together communities across local authority lines, and we are working collaboratively with neighbouring associations to ensure a strong Conservative presence and a well-prepared campaign team.
Our Association continues to:
- Operate within the UK Parliamentary Caerphilly constituency, preparing to contest the next General Election.
- Work within the established Caerphilly County Borough boundaries, helping to elect County, Community and Town Councillors who share our Conservative values.
- Coordinate effectively in the new Senedd constituency, selecting the right candidate and supporting the campaign to ensure our communities are properly represented in Cardiff Bay.
We are also committed to helping elect a Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, bringing greater accountability and community focus to policing across our region.
Promoting Conservative Values and Community Engagement
Our Association champions the values of responsibility, fairness, opportunity, and local pride, with a practical focus on improving everyday life in our towns and villages. We actively support our elected representatives, promote local campaigns, and stand up for the interests of residents across the constituency.
We also provide a welcoming environment for Party members of all ages. From political discussion to social events, campaigning to policy forums, there are many ways to get involved. We are particularly proud to see younger members stepping forward to take an active role in shaping the future of our Association and our community.
